Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are officially no longer members of the British Empire. As of March 2020, both have stepped down as senior members of the British royal family.
Even so, the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not stopped being in the spotlight. As recently, a flight attendant revealed the two’s unique habits while traveling.
Reporting from express.co.uk, April 25, 2022, an unnamed flight attendant shared her unique experience serving the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, before they left the kingdom.
According to the woman, Harry and Meghan did not pay their bills on the plane. The incident occurred on a flight from London to Tromso, Norway, in 2017.
“Meghan and Harry were really lovely people during the flight. They told the airline they wanted to be treated as normal passengers,” the flight attendant recalled.
“So we don’t make exceptions or provide special services for them,” he added. The flight attendant also said that at the start of the flight, Meghan and Harry looked at the menu and ordered some food and drinks.
“Harry had tea and toast for breakfast, while Meghan also had tea and opted for a lemon muffin,” she said. However, at the time of payment, the flight attendant said the couple had not asked for the bill and seemed to assume the food and drinks were free.
“I was too embarrassed to give the bill, so I just walked away,” he said. “I panicked so I just kept going and decided not to charge, even though they had asked to be treated like a normal passenger before the flight.”
